Earthy Green Range Options
Fulgor Milano is bringing a fresh new color exclusively to North American kitchens with the debut of Velvet Sage, and earthy green that is the latest addition to its customizable color kits available for the brand’s Sofia Professional ranges. While all of the company’s ranges come in classic stainless steel, the brand’s interchangeable door kits allow the swapping of colors to reflect personal preferences.

Walking into the future of closets
There was a time when closet doors remained closed to hide the messy clutter inside from house guests. But with contemporary trends in functionality, lighting and personalization, modern closets are now starting to rival the kitchen as a home centrepiece, says Victor Ayoub, director of marketing at Häfele Canada.

Smart Lock
Beyond the backyard, curb appeal is getting a smart upgrade. At the front door, where first impressions are made, Schlage is reimagining modern home access with its Encode Smart Lock. Blending sleek design with cutting-edge technology, Encode features built-in Wi-Fi, allowing for remote access and control, no additional hub required.

Green Products
The Teck Flush Valve is now over 100 years old. Renowned for their straightforward design, reliable performance, and ease of maintenance, the valves are critical features in high-traffic environments such as hospitals and long-term care homes. Recent upgrades include electronic operation, water-efficient models, and field-adjustable volume controls.

Four Editor-Approved Stand Mixers for Every Kind of Baker
When our EIC mentioned she’d been using her Hamilton Beach mixer for 20 years, we had to try one out. While her all-metal model is no longer made, this 7-speed, 4-qt capacity mixer gets close, though its body is cased in plastic. The trade-off is a light and compact mixer that can easily be moved around.

The kitchen island: where life happens
As the kitchen takes on more roles, the kitchen island is increasingly expected to handle meaningful storage, high-performance lighting and everyday functionality,” says Victor Ayoub, marketing director at Häfele Canada, a global leader in functional hardware, integrated lighting and innovative storage solutions.

Vintage Touches are Mixed into This Chef’s Kitchen
Designer Tristan Gary was tasked with reimagining this 1908 home in Everett, WA, after it was purchased by a familiar client: her mother Nancy Williams. Both mother and daughter wanted to preserve the house’s history and give the space an antique look, so Gary set out to create an “un-kitchen” for Williams, who loves vintage. The catch? Williams is also a former restaurant mogul, so Gary had to deliver a chef ’s kitchen that didn’t look like one. The inspiration began with a 30-inch gas Fulgor Milano range. “When I think of Italian, I think of high style and high food,” Gary offers.

Opustone Relativa Porcelain
Whether used for flooring, cladding, countertops or interior or exterior facades, Relativa porcelain elevates any application with its distinctive style and lasting quality. Every slab is a study in balance — robust yet refined, timeless yet forward-looking, a reflection of Opustone’s ongoing commitment to material innovation and design excellence.

Design: Historic riverside B&B gets made over for a family
Large kitchens can sometimes be tiring to work in. Not only does it take more steps to move about, but over time, with all that extra space, it’s easy for disorganization to set in. So Mimi took extra care to add plenty of smart storage features: bespoke spice drawers and cabinetry pullouts not only help keep clutter under control but make it easier for her mum to work in. The highlight is a cantilevered arm made by Häfele and designed for a KitchenAid mixer, which is quite heavy. The arm fits inside a cupboard and raises or lowers the appliance at the touch of a finger.

A Canadian 1st? Ontario comedian’s ‘silly fun’ with kettle on a beach in Hamilton likely made history
Where some may have seen a means to boil water, Stager — an entertainer who posts comedy videos on TikTok and Instagram — saw opportunity in the fun coincidence between the kettle’s brand and his location. “I am holding a Hamilton Beach branded, variable temperature kettle on a beach in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada,” he said over crashing waves. “We have never seen anything like this before. This is the first time this has happened in recorded history.”

This 1950s Connecticut Kitchen Got a Glow-Up Straight Out of a Period Drama
Hung along the eight-foot-long brass rail, Adam’s copper cookware collection offers a pretty punch of patina. The unlacquered brass knobs and pulls will soon follow suit. The black-and-stainless steel range from Fulgor Milano and the creamy cabinetry round out the mix-and-match palette.

Travis London Pours Love + Creativity Into His Own Miami Home
Then there is the “wow” moment: a stairwell featuring Italian marble treads, a 10-foot-long chandelier from Paris and an enormous pink-and-teal plaster mural titled New Beginnings. “This is where the story of our home begins—with a sense of drama, romance and reverence for the art of living,” the designer muses.
The Latest Innovations in Sustainability and Efficiency for Restroom Fixtures
